If you find it daunting to give a media interview, don't worry, you're not alone.
Even the most seasoned of business leaders among our clients still find themselves feeling a little nervous when we get a media interview request, and even when the topic is focused on positive company news.
It's really important to give a great interview because it's often the one thing, after distributing a high quality media release, that will make or break your news coverage. I've seen a good interview turn something that might have been a small article at the back of a publication become a double-page spread or get shuffled higher in news television programming. You don't have to be particularly charismatic to give a good interview, and you don't have to change the tone and pitch of your voice.
In this short video, I talk you through some quick and easy ways to prepare for and give an interview, so you'll increase your chances of getting good coverage and have a journalist coming back for more.
