Jane Lowe

Jane Lowe

Founder and Managing Director

Jane founded Investor Relations Department Pty Ltd in 2008 in response to demand from her clients for communications assistance on a contracted basis. She has more than 15 years’ experience providing specialist communications consultancy to clients across investor and public relations, marketing and corporate communications.

She has worked with hundreds of clients, listed and unlisted, from micro-caps to ASX top 50 and has overseen >30 secondary capital raises, a number of IPOs and M&A campaigns, and has a strong network of domestic and international investor, and media contacts. Prior to founding IR Department, Jane led the Sydney investor communications team for Buchan Consulting and was the head of IR and PR at Geodynamics Limited, a (then) $300m market capitalised company.

Jane was also a founding member of online investor communications group IRM, where she drove successful electronic investor relations strategies for listed companies across a diverse range of industries and built a strong balance sheet for the IRM business.

Cherie Hartley

Cherie Hartley

Communications Director

Cherie has more than 20 years’ experience in the communications industry, with vast expertise in the areas of public relations and marketing. Having held senior positions both agency and client side in Australia, Europe and the Middle East, her knowledge spans consumer, corporate, not-for-profit and government communications. Cherie has worked extensively across numerous industries, including sport, tourism, healthcare and FMCG sectors.

Her experience includes heading up strategic communications for the Government of Abu Dhabi where she advised on government policy, developed the Emirate’s tourism brand, and secured and marketed major sporting events such as the FIFA Club World Cup. Prior to this, Cherie headed up Consumer PR for Burson-Marsteller in Australia where she developed award-winning campaigns for clients such as Johnson & Johnson, Heineken and Tourism New Zealand.

Gabriella Hold

Gabriella Hold

Account Director

Gabriella has been working in financial communications for more than 20 years, with specific expertise in equity markets, compliance and crisis communications. Prior to IR Department, she worked as an investor relations and media relations director for a range of agencies, specialising in small and micro-cap listed biotech and tech stocks - organising more than 200 investor roadshows, a number of IPOs and RTOs and pre-seed funding rounds. Gabriella has also spent several years in communications, research and compliance in the investment banking industry, working with Goldman Sachs, The Royal Bank of Scotland and BNP Paribas. Gabriella was also a senior writer, editor and columnist at The Australian Financial Review where she focused on equity market and wealth management issues and compiled the weekly small caps column.

Juliana Roadley

Account Director

Juliana has worked in banking and broking for over twenty years as a commodity trader, market and research analyst, content creator, educator and presenter. She was formerly one of CommSec's most experienced analysts and media presenters, often seen delivering live market crosses to Sky News Australia, ABC, BBC and leading radio networks.

She enjoys analysing and monitoring business successes, creating strategies to improve business practices and building future growth. She is passionate about planning and delivering campaigns to investors, both current and potential, to help drive business outcomes. Juliana brings a hands-on approach and customer focused lens to everything she does. Her extensive background in financial markets gives provides a strong understanding of business cycles and risk.

Prior to joining IR Department, Juliana worked as an External Communications Manager, media and content manager for both listed and non ASX listed entities. She is also a key member of the Sydney chapter of Anita.B.org.


Ilona Marchetta

Account Director

Ilona has more than 15 years’ experience in communications spanning journalism, public relations and marketing, including influencer marketing and social media. Ilona is also an APMG International certified change management practitioner with experience in agile project environments across finance and government. She has developed and executed change communication strategies for organisations ranging from 500 to 60,000 employees, with onshore and offshore teams.

Ilona has considerable experience developing communication strategies for controversial and challenging subjects, having held senior positions at the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, and Westpac as part of the core team delivering reform following the The Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry.

Ilona is completing studies in Sustainability and Climate Policy via Curtin University, and is working toward a globally recognised Sustainability (ESG) Practitioner certification.

George Kopsiaftis

IR Specialist

George has over 30 years’ financial markets experience across equities research, portfolio management, and equity capital markets, within the institutional stockbroking and funds management industries. George started his career as an equity analyst at James Capel Australia.

He later moved to Westpac Investment Management (now Pendal) where he was appointed Deputy Head of the Australian Equities team and a portfolio manager responsible for $2.5bn in Australian listed equities. George later moved to LINWAR Securities, a small  cap focused stockbroker (acquired by ANZ), where he was appointed Head of Equities Research.

More recently, George has assisted listed small cap companies to raise growth capital through his equity capital markets capabilities at both Petra Capital and Shaw & Partners (Director Corporate Finance).

George Hazim

Government and Media Relations Specialist

A former ministerial advisor and senior journalist who has covered business, politics and telecommunications extensively, George has worked in government, media and corporate for more than 20 years.

George ha headed the Media and Government Relations Departments of Companies like Primus Telecom, NEC Australia the REIV, and was the Principal Media Advisor to  Australia’s most powerful woman in the higher education sector, the former VC of RMIT University, Margaret Gardner, now VC of Monash University and the Principal Media Advisor to the Victorian Minister for Small Business, Tourism and Youth Affairs, Vin Heffernan.

George is politically astute with an in depth understanding of media and government. He is a specialist in government strategy and media relations as well as issues management, with extensive experience in handling contentious issues.

Outside of work, George is a highly accomplished athlete.
